For me understanding interracial relationships is personal for my maternal grandfather was mixed so I have heard, seen and know a lot about this situation with it being in my family. I do not know everything about interracial relationships or interracial sex but knowing about my grandfather's situation was the catalyst of my mother's activism which she instilled in me. My grandfather refused to be known as white on his driver's license for he demanded the DMV to list him as Colored. He was very fair with a British accent. No one could understand his background but he was Jamaican and British. White people said my grandfather should identify as white but my grandfather said he was black!!

In addition to my grandfather's biracial ancestry, I have other members of my family who are mixed or who have married outside their race. I am proud that my family comes in a variety of cultures and we all appreciate our rich African ancestry especially understanding all that was fought for the rights of African Americans to be seen as equal in the USA and in the world.

I am proud to be an African American. I grew up in this country and have tried to share my rich cultural experiences in a variety of ways although some people have given me grief over sharing the history of African Americans. I hope people some people continue to be receptive to learning and being open in sharing. That is the beginning of opening a  dialogue with others on our differences.

On twitter, I was introduced to a wonderful concept of what do you eat? Since twitter asks you, what cha doing now foodfeed.us wants to know - what cha eating?

I update my foodfeed.us account frequently. It actually has made me very conscious of what I eat and I think it is helping me stick on my diet primarily for my allergies. I have the worst allergies in North America. I have no idea why I am prone to sinus headaches and sinus issues but a lot has to do with my dairy intake which I watch closely.

With foodfeed.us I don't lie because this is what I do eat and I plan on taking a print out to my doctor for him to see what I am eating. Further, I am taking this list to my dentist because she recently concerned me saying that I had a sugar intake issue which I do not believe is the case but I don't know. I know I do eat a lot of ice cream and sweets from time to time but the portions are very small and not huge. I may need to write down exactly the size of what I am consuming in order for my dentist to see that is not the case.
