Happy Pa Pa Day to all those who are fathers/like fathers & wanna be fathers!
I'm blessed to have my Dad with me at this time of my life. He's a blessing despite all the jokes we have with one another.
I have a lot of nicknames for him which are said in love. He knows it. I think he gets a thrill that I give him special names that are not in the norm. And, when we are out in public and he acts up, I always yell out, "that's my DADDY!"
Last year, we took this picture when we went to Chicago and visited the grave of his mother who died in 2005. She was 94 years old.
My father never knew his father but my grandmother was like a father and mom to him. She worked for 50 years for the same family as a domestic, and her work ethic was passed down to him and now to me.
I love you, Dad, and I hope you get better! He's had the sniffles these past couple of days but I know he will rebound. Sometimes he acts like a baby so my Mom will be extra sweet to him! We know him to well and we love him!!
