illuminating video for you www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0DoxrNCImI
Thank you for sharing. I have a very hard time believing others who post information on youtube where I cannot immediately find information to verify if it is true or not.

I need scholarly or news worthy proof to take piece by piece everything this young man is saying from credible sources.

Regardless of the comments made on youtube, you have to truly ask yourself when you receive information outside of the traditional news sources whether it is credible or not.

This is purposely why on my blog I do not quote any gossip sites unless I have the gossip backed up by a credible news source such as a major news paper as the New York Times or a television Network as CNN, CSPAN, etc.

Though I know our our media is filtered, I do search for news that is from the BBC or from the Guardian in the UK because I have found those sources to be better at times in reporting what I read here in America.

Example: I had no idea a famous poet's daughter had been murdered here in the USA but I read it in a source from the UK. Leroi Jones aka Amri Baraka's daughter was killed and I could not find a source in the USA at the time that reported it. It took a UK based news source to let me know what had happened and I could not even find news on the local news channels although I live in the New York/New Jersey area. Here is the news report in the NY Times:
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D0CE5D81330F93BA2575BC0A9659C8B63

My point in all of this is that you have to question your news sources before believing them. That is why you see many links from me from the New York Times as opposed to any other source because I truly trust the integrity of the source and I rely on them to do the fact checking that I cannot do on my own.

There are two websites that I use frequently to fact check:

http://www.snopes.com

http://www.factcheck.org

Though I have not found researched everything which this young man is saying, I will have to decode it more when I have the time and energy and resources to see whether or not it is true.

For me up as an Obama supporter, I will say not to listen to a lot of the hype but I do find it interesting that Obama is related to the Bush family in a distant relative way in this Chicago Sun Times Article here:

But, I am about to blow your mind in a family secret that is never discussed in order to let you know how bogus it is to be related to someone famous. I am a distant distant distant relative of Jesse Jackson by my father's side of the family which I did not know until a few years ago. Knowing this relationship has not changed my state of being nor have I ever been in touch with Jesse Jackson to let him know we are related in a distant relative way.

So this is why I am suspect of revelations like this.

My long winded discussion on this video but I had to hash through all of this to say that I am finding it hard to find the credibility in the video because the sources are not revealed to me of how to fact check everything that is mentioned.

Thank you for sharing.

You are very wise to be cautious, it is hard to trust the media, especially when it is owned by those in power because news then becomes propaganda. The Columbians dominate stateside, CNN for instance is theirs and so if you can trust CNN you can trust C.B.S. I have just watched Zeitgeist for the 3rd Time and to be honest, having watched that, I would not believe anything written or broadcast by CNN. I would have to check like you do - somewhere else.
[this is good]
I haven't watched the movie, The Zeitgeist, so I would have to see what you are discussing but quickly knowing the movie digresses into a discussion of religion especially Christianity and the Bible, please note that the Bible was written by man and not at the hand of God although these supposed hands were anointed with truth.

There are many parts of the Bible that were left out from the popular versions of the Bible that are in circulation now. My Uncle was in the seminary and taught this to me while I looked at him in disbelief. There is a book called the Aprocrypha which is the lost books of the bible.

I will admit my ignorance that I have not read the entire Bible from cover to cover which has always been my life long plan and maybe under the right study group and teacher, I will accomplish this goal.

I know this discussion has again gone off from your question but I want you to know where I am coming from when I am trying to discuss anything dealing with religion.

It would be best for me see this movie before trying to understand where you are coming from but I will and get back to you once I have the time to see it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts as always.

Zeitgeist is one of the most objective films I have seen covering such subjects in a long time. It makes no attack on any religion at all. It merely attempts to educate and it does not judge either, it informs. I sincerely believe that those who produced it just want us to think. They want to draw people's attention to what is going on around us in the world and who is and has been running it. I think it's duration is around 2 hours so you'd need to carve some time out of your schedule Serenity. There is a link in my sidebar to the website where the film can be viewed if anyone wants to check it out for themselves.
