Woman has an ocean of wrongs too deep for any plummet, and the Negro, too, has an ocean of wrongs that cannot be fathomed. There are two great oceans; in the one is the black man, and in the other is the woman. . . . I will be thankful in my soul if any body can get out of the terrible pit."

We ask for affirmative action but remember the President has to follow policies of the media conglomerate which is Viacom! Viacom is owned by Sumner Redstone. Mr. Redstone has a remarkable history in media, and I hope that he can see what is going on in the world. We need his help in changing the media for his hand is at the pulse of controlling these networks (MTV networks, BET networks, Paramount pictures, Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks).
We cannot even blame him totally either because the situation has gotten out of control more than we could have ever imagined.
Just remember that one of the most positive images of a black woman in 1960s was of the character of Julia played by Diahann Carroll. What a beautiful beginning but what is going on now? Please consider introducing positive images of African Americans into your household. This is a serious matter.
Listen or read Bill Cosby and Alvin Poussaint, MD discuss the seriousness of this matter in the black community. Please also consider reading their book, Come on People: On the Path from Victims to Victors.
