The recent controversy surrounding the comments made seven years ago, during a church sermon by Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright, has caused polarization and heated debate among American citizens. Although the U.S. has a long history of revolutionary vigor tempered by its founding fathers, has shown great disdain for tyranny at home and abroad, and has zealously advocated the individual’s constitutional rights to speak out boldly against oppression and immoral actions, this does not seem to apply to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—As Mike said, today represents a tragic anniversary for our country. Through his faith, courage, and wisdom, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. moved an entire nation. He preached the gospel of brotherhood; of equality and justice. That's the cause for which he lived --and for which he died forty years ago today. And so before we begin, I ask you to join me in a moment of silence in memory of this extraordinary American.

Just know racism exists, and it always will.

I follow the philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. but I know would he would be as disgusted as I am now with the current state of the world. [However, I think I can be extremely radical at times but I do not show it.]

Can we all just get along and respect one another and teach tolerance? But, some people will never listen and will continue to bask in ignorance.

So the next time someone asks me why I have an attitude, you know why. You see what I witness and experience all the time.

This is why I have to have my diversions, or I will absolutely loose my mind.
