Memories..
By the way, Tyka Nelson, informed me that she likes his picture of me in this telephone booth. I do too! Please check out singer Tyka Nelson here http://www.myspace.com/nelphiproductions
She has a songwriting contest too and I encourage ALL OF YOU TO JOIN. I cannot write songs but I am going to give it a chance just for the heck of it!

If I did not decide to travel to London to see Prince in concert, I would not have taken the following picture which is now in a Schamp.com London Guide book. He he. I cannot believe they chose my picture.

So, in honor of the funky Purple one, I am listening to Prince all day today! Yeah! (Not, like I do not have Prince festivals, but I had to do this!)
It is the MUSIC people!! People think I LOVE Prince as my man > > > NO, it is the music!
I do not know Prince and further, I kind of know I am not his type from seeing him with his women. [I think he likes them mixed, fair and long hair - I do not have any of these traits] However, I never saw myself with Prince romantically. Honestly, there is not a celebrity I want as my other half however I do love sharing, ideas, concepts and the beauty I feel when I experience certain feelings from reading, experiencing or listening to a creative work. The ONE celebrity I want is GOD!
You know who I love -- my family! They are my heart! I am pretty content with just my music and not putting the celebrities on a pedestal. I put my family first. They mean more to me than anything.
Why?!
I do not know them. Their music and work may infatuate me but that is it. Unless, I personally know them (they got my number, know where I live, email, etc. then that is a different story).
Listen, if I were not listening to Prince for so long, I would not appreciate my rich eclectic taste in listening to almost any and everything. Further, I appreciate and prefer music from instruments and not machines.
So that is my story and I am sticking to it! (^_^)
Please get this right.
I told y'all this but PLEASE he is NOT SUING FANS.
It is NOT YOU. Okay!?!?
He wants to bring music to YOU exclusively through
his website.

Can we all get along?!?!
Always go to the SOURCE for your information and not "assume" what are the ifs until the source TALKS!
** I do have one gripe with all of this. Prince, were you even aware that going through security in London was OPTIONAL to attend your concert at the O2 and at the after show at the INDIGO? And, I saw PLENTY of people taking pictures, recording, etc at your concert and after show. I was PARANOID and did not even have a camera. And, out of respect for you I did not want to do any of that. I was right in front of you at your aftershow on September 13, 2007 at the Indigo (I kept on starring at your shoes - you had on white high heel boots) and there was a man with a black NPG online t-shirt with some type of recording device (not sure though) because he had on head phones and your security man did not say ANYTHING. I kept quiet because I was not to sure if he was with you. So, I saw a lot of this going on right in front of your face. I was right there at the after shows on September 13 and that following Sunday. So, I am just saying, were you even aware of that security breach?!?! Optional?!! That is just strange to me. ****
My recent trip to London was a wonderful adventure with my Mom. My main reason for going was to see Prince in concert and to visit the British museum. I ended up seeing Prince 4 times! 2 concerts and 2 after shows. The Purple wonder blew my mind. Please check: www.3121.com
I had only seen him once in 2005 in Washington, DC for his Musicology Tour. He was smoking then but this time he was even better. His after shows are the best! Seriously if I had to see Prince again, I rather see him in a small venue like I did for his after show. He truly vibed with the crowd and played songs that only die hards like myself could appreciate. I love the hits but Prince's ballads are my absolute favorite. I am seriously KICKING myself for not seeing him in Vegas. I heard that he did ballads exclusively.
Ugh! Prince please do another show with ballads! I better start saving my money NOW! Sorry dude, I cannot go back to England or Europe now. The dollar is too weak!
My trip to the British museum, http://www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/, was a serious disappointment because the African art collection was not being shown due to a shortage of staff. I think I shed a tear when they said this. I had never been so upset over an art exhibit. Even when I went to the book store at the British museum, I could not find any books with pictures of the collection of African art that the museum owns.
There was an exhibit on Egyptian art but that is not what I am interested in. I want some sub-Sahara art such as Nigerian and Ivory Coast art. I did buy a short 30 minute video that they had produced on the art that they had but that will not satisfy me because I wanted to see it up close.
Other than the disappointment, I did see a great exhibit on the First Emperor of China's terracota army.

The exhibit blew my mind. In fact the exhibit was just opening the week I was in London so I felt as though this was divine intervention for me to see the exhibit.
My adventure to London was perfect regardless of not seeing any African art, but seeing Prince was the highlight of my year well actually my life (sorry Michael Jackson!). I am going to enroll in music classes again and take up piano. I am debating whether or not to do violin again. I am meditating on that for sure!
Check my music journal for better details on the Prince concert if interested. It is pretty comical. Prince is S-I-L-L-Y! He showed his true colors at the after shows especially the one on Sunday, September 16. I had to get some tissue out and dab my eyes because he had me laughing too much!
