Thank you for my myspace friend, LoveSexy88, for alerting me about this concert!
Please please happen. But, I would rather see Prince in a small venue for I appreciate the after shows a little bit more. Something about the intimacy and Prince's energy during an after show is truly magical.
However, I am going to this concert if this is truly for real! I called my Momma today to alert her of a new adventure to see Prince so she is down with traveling with me again! What a treat! She is a Floridian so we have to bring the
sunshine to the Purple man!
Now, I am break dancing!!
My recent trip to London was a wonderful adventure with my Mom. My main reason for going was to see Prince in concert and to visit the British museum. I ended up seeing Prince 4 times! 2 concerts and 2 after shows. The Purple wonder blew my mind. Please check: www.3121.com
I had only seen him once in 2005 in Washington, DC for his Musicology Tour. He was smoking then but this time he was even better. His after shows are the best! Seriously if I had to see Prince again, I rather see him in a small venue like I did for his after show. He truly vibed with the crowd and played songs that only die hards like myself could appreciate. I love the hits but Prince's ballads are my absolute favorite. I am seriously KICKING myself for not seeing him in Vegas. I heard that he did ballads exclusively.
Ugh! Prince please do another show with ballads! I better start saving my money NOW! Sorry dude, I cannot go back to England or Europe now. The dollar is too weak!
My trip to the British museum, http://www.thebritishmuseum.ac.uk/, was a serious disappointment because the African art collection was not being shown due to a shortage of staff. I think I shed a tear when they said this. I had never been so upset over an art exhibit. Even when I went to the book store at the British museum, I could not find any books with pictures of the collection of African art that the museum owns.
There was an exhibit on Egyptian art but that is not what I am interested in. I want some sub-Sahara art such as Nigerian and Ivory Coast art. I did buy a short 30 minute video that they had produced on the art that they had but that will not satisfy me because I wanted to see it up close.
Other than the disappointment, I did see a great exhibit on the First Emperor of China's terracota army.

The exhibit blew my mind. In fact the exhibit was just opening the week I was in London so I felt as though this was divine intervention for me to see the exhibit.
My adventure to London was perfect regardless of not seeing any African art, but seeing Prince was the highlight of my year well actually my life (sorry Michael Jackson!). I am going to enroll in music classes again and take up piano. I am debating whether or not to do violin again. I am meditating on that for sure!
Check my music journal for better details on the Prince concert if interested. It is pretty comical. Prince is S-I-L-L-Y! He showed his true colors at the after shows especially the one on Sunday, September 16. I had to get some tissue out and dab my eyes because he had me laughing too much!
